Bengaluru, Mar 15: Going into total contrast from their previous traditions, WWE is looking to build a stable relationship with their former employees.

In recent times, we have seen WWE wishing former WWE Diva, Maria Kanellis on her birthday despite knowing the fact that she was under contract with the rival brand, Impact wrestling.

The tradition continued when WWE used their social media handle to wish another former Women's champion. This time it was Melina who was quite famous for her wrestling skills.

WWE wished her on the occasion of her 37th birthday. They also posted some of her pictures that were taken during her stint with the WWE. Check out the post here:

Melina was a tough enough competitor back in the year 2005 who did not make it to the main roster. She debuted as a manager of MNM in Ohio Valley Wrestling promotion. Later she concentrated on her wrestling career and got an opportunity to work in the WWE.

Due to her tremendous agility inside the squared circle, it did not take her long to earn respect in the locker room.

In her run in the company till 2011, she won the title on five different occasions (3-time women's champion and two-time Divas champion).

During an interview with Diva-dirt.com, Melina discussed her time spent with WWE: “Everything happens for a reason. weren't bad to me, they were great.

"They gave me an amazing experience, they made me realize so many dreams. There's so much more that I want to do, but, hey, you know, it's not the end. Just because they let me go, doesn't mean that I won't be back again."

With this post, the chances of her returning to the WWE have increased during this time when a couple of former names are rumoured to be back.

The same was expected during Summerslam 2016 but that never came to fruition. At present, she is doing optional appearances on the independent circuit.
