WWE WrestleMania 39: New addition made to match card; Original Hell in a Cell returning?

Bengaluru, March 28: The biggest week in professional wrestling is underway with the latest episode of Monday Night Raw that summed up the storylines from the red brand one last time before they culminate at WrestleMania 39.

Big news coming out of Raw is that WWE officially removed former Smackdown Women's Champion Carmella to be a part of the WrestleMania Showcase Fatal-4-Way Tag Team Match for some undisclosed reasons.

Carmella was originally scheduled to team up with Chelsea Green to be a part of the match but she missed last weekend's Live Events alongside Raw. Then last night, she was officially replaced by a Smackdown Superstar.

The March 27 episode of Raw from the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona saw Chelsea Green teaming up with Sonya Deville (Carmella's official replacement) to defeat "Michin" Mia Yim and Candice LeRae to qualify for the WrestleMania Showcase Match.

The full lineup for the Fatal-4-Way stands Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler vs. Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Natalya & Shotzi vs. Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville. The winner is likely to receive a shot at the women's tag team titles.

WWE had previously confirmed Edge vs. Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 39. This is expected to wrap up Edge's long-term feud with The Judgment Day.

Over on Raw before WrestleMania 39, WWE confirmed that "The Demon" version of Balor will face Edge, this weekend. Spoilers also suggest that Edge will bring back his "Brood" shtick before locking himself inside the steel cage structure with Balor.

Speaking of the cage, The Wrestling Blog informs that the original Hell in a Cell structure will be used at WrestleMania Hollywood instead of the red-colored structure that was introduced in 2018.

PWInsider also reported that Attitude Era Veteran and "Brood" leader Gangrel is scheduled to return to WWE during this match. This will be his first appearance on WWE TV in more than 15 years since Raw's 15th anniversary back in 2007.

In more news from WrestleMania 39, Bray Wyatt vs. Bobby Lashley was officially scrapped from the card following Wyatt's absence on Raw. Ringside News previously reported that Wyatt's 'Mania status was up in the air due to his absence from weekly programming.

Wyatt was reportedly dealing with some kind of illness on the Road to WrestleMania 39 which barred him from making TV appearances. However, he was in Florida, this past weekend possibly to go through some medical check-ups and then appear on Raw.

But Wyatt was nowhere to be found on the final episode of Raw before WrestleMania 39. He was fully removed from all the promotional materials of the show while Lashley has since been added to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal set for this week's Smackdown.

WWE has confirmed 12 matches for WrestleMania 39 Premium Live Event with six matches slated for each of the nights of the show that's Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The full match card is given below:
