WWE WrestleMania 40: CM Punk confirms status; New teams advance to Ladder Match

The anticipation around WrestleMania 40 keeps on getting high as the event approaches closer. For weeks now, CM Punk's involvement in the PLE has been a discussion point for the WWE Universe and now he's confirmed to appear.

During the March 18 episode of Raw, a video package aired that highlighted the career of the self-proclaimed 'Best in the World.' It primarily focused on promoting his upcoming appearance on the March 25 episode of Raw scheduled from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

There was a point in the package where CM Punk confirmed his presence at WrestleMania 40. Mentioning that the Show of Shows would be incomplete without his attendance, he declared whether invited or not, he would be there.

Punk's return is already a topic of discussion for the fans following his participation in the 2024 Men's Royal Rumble match, where he suffered a torn triceps, and kept him out of in-ring competition for the coming months.

In more news from Raw, an interesting tag team match kicked things off for an opportunity to make it to the Undisputed Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 40. Following an action-packed match, DIY picked up a win over The Creed Brothers to advance.

A second such qualifier was there on the show where the team of R-Truth and The Miz defeated Indus Sher to head into the tag team title ladder match set for the Show of Shows. Only one challenger team remains to fill in the fray.

On the March 11 episode of Raw, the WWE General Managers Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis announced the six-pack ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at the Showcase of Immortals.

WWE WrestleMania 40 will take place at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7. The confirmed alongside the rumoured match card for the show is given below:
