WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two PLE Results, Recap And Highlights

WrestleMania 40 Night Two went down last night from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania culminating in the biggest extravaganza in sports entertainment. Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes II served as the main event of the PLE.

Amid appearances from multiple legends on the night, four new world champions were crowned on the show. Overall, six matches were in store on the WrestleMania Sunday card and you can check out the results as given below:

- World Heavyweight Championship Match: Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins (c) to become the new champion in the opening match of WrestleMania 40 Night Two. CM Punk was present on commentary for this match as announced earlier.

Seth put Drew down with a Stomp on the announce table. But upon coming back to the ring Drew nailed him with a Claymore Kick out of nowhere and then another win to finally pin Seth to win the World Heavyweight Title.

Drew mocked Punk at the commentary table which led the latter to attack him. Damian Priest ran out and cashed in the Money in the Bank contract. Priest hit South of Haven chokeslam on Drew to become the new World Champion.

- Philadelphia Street Fight: The Pride (Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits) defeated The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & Authors of Pain). WWE Hall of Famer & ECW Legend Bubba Ray Dudley was the Special Guest Referee while Snoop Dogg returned to be on commentary.

B-Fab and Scarlett brawled in between the match and they went through a table. The finish saw Montez Ford hitting a Splash on Karrion Kross through the table and Bobby Lashley pinning Kross for the win.

- LA Knight defeated AJ Styles in the next match. Styles debuted a new theme song at WrestleMania 40, fitting to his new character. The back-and-forth matchup ended with LA hitting a BFT on AJ.

- Triple Threat Match for the United States Championship: Logan Paul (c) defeated Randy Orton and Kevin Owens to retain his title. YouTuber iShowSpeed was seen talking trash to Randy as he received an RKO on the announce table.

The finish of the match saw Kevin going for a Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Randy turned it into an RKO. Logan pushed Randy out of the ring and hit Kevin with a Frog Splash for the pin to win.

- WWE Women's Championship Match: Bayley defeated IYO SKY (c) to become the new champion. Bayley kicked out of SKY's trademark moonsault, and countered with a flying elbow followed by the Rose Plant for the pin-fall win.

- Bloodline Rules Match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Cody Rhodes defeated Roman Reigns (c) to become the new champion. Solo Sikoa was the first one to interfere in the match in favor of Reigns but he was stopped by the returning John Cena.

Cena hit Roman with the AA and also put Solo through the announce table with the AA. The Rock came out and he neutralized Cena with a Rock Bottom. Seth Rollins tried to hit Rock but Roman hit Seth with a Superman Punch.

Rock wanted to hit Cody with the Mama Rhodes weight belt but The Undertaker came out and choke-slammed The Rock. Cody hit 3 Cross Rhodes on Roman to pin him and become the new WWE Champion.

After "finishing the story," Cody celebrated with his family and friends, John Cena, Randy Orton and CM Punk. He also called Bruce Prichard and Triple H out to join the celebration as WrestleMania 40 Sunday went off the air.
