Injuries and Setbacks

In October 2014, Cornelissen suffered a significant injury. She fractured her leg and dislocated her fibula after falling off a young horse. This incident required four to six weeks of rest, causing her to miss the World Cup event in Stockholm, Sweden.

Cornelissen has received numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2011 and 2012, she was named Sportswoman of the Year in Gelderland, Netherlands. She also received the Best Athlete Award from the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) in 2011. Additionally, she was named Sportswoman of the Year in Drenthe in 2008 and 2009.
