Angelina Melnikova Olympics

Melnikova trains with the Central Sports Army Club (CSKA) in Russia. Her personal coaches are Natalia Ishkova and Sergey Denisevich. She spends most of the year training at Ozero Krugloye, the national training centre near Moscow. Her daily routine includes sessions from 09:00-13:00 and 16:00-19:00.

International Debut

Melnikova made her international debut in 2016, competing for Russia at the World Cup in Stuttgart, Germany. Since then, she has become a prominent figure in gymnastics.

Achievements and Recognition

One of her most memorable achievements is winning team gold at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Despite a minor foot injury, she competed at the 2017 World Championships in Montreal, Canada.

In August 2021, Melnikova was named an Honorary Citizen of Voronezh. She received the Order of Friendship from the president of Russia for her achievements at the 2020 Olympics. She also won the Prize for Elegance at the 2018 World Championships in Doha.

For her performance at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she received the Order for Merit to the Fatherland (first class) and was titled Honoured Master of Sport in Russia.

Business Ventures

In 2018, Melnikova started her own leotard business. She has always been interested in design and decided to combine this passion with her expertise in gymnastics. "I am a creative person," she said. "I've always liked design."
