Anna Danesi Biography

Danesi's journey in volleyball took a serious turn when she joined Orago, Italy. There, she met coaches Giuseppe Bosetti and Franca Bardelli, who played pivotal roles in her development. She started from scratch but quickly advanced to higher levels of play.

Club and National Team

Currently, Danesi plays for Saugella Monza in Italy. She holds the position of middle blocker and is coached by Marco Gaspari at the club level and Davide Mazzanti for the national team. Her international debut came in 2016 when she began competing for Italy.

Awards and Recognition

Danesi has received numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2018, she was awarded a silver medal by the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). She also received the 'Oscar dello Sport Bresciano' in 2016 and 2019. Additionally, she was named in the Dream Team for the 2015 U20 World Championships in Puerto Rico.

Personal Life and Education

Off the court, Danesi enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and travelling. She completed her higher education in Physical Education at San Raffaele University of Rome. She plans to pursue a master's degree in science and techniques of preventive and adaptive physical activities at the same university.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, Danesi is uncertain about her career path post-retirement but remains open to continuing her studies. "A new life will begin once I retire from sport surely. This scares me a little bit," she said. Despite her uncertainties, she is not ruling out further education after her master's degree.
