Mikolajczyk is affiliated with UKS Kopernik in Bydgoszcz and is coached by Wieslaw Rakowski at the club level and Tomas Kryk at the national level. Known for her right-handedness and ambidextrous footedness, she has demonstrated versatility and skill throughout her career.

Injuries and Challenges

In July 2015, Mikolajczyk faced a significant setback when she damaged ligaments in her foot during a training camp in Livigno, Italy. Initially advised to be in a cast for four weeks, she convinced doctors to reduce this period to two weeks to prepare for the 2015 World Championships in Milan. Despite competing, she experienced swelling on the first day.

Earlier in 2015, she underwent arthroscopic knee surgery. These challenges did not deter her spirit or performance.

Awards and Recognition

Her dedication and achievements have earned her numerous accolades. In 2015, she was named Athlete of the Year in the Pomorskie region of Poland. She also received the Gold Cross of Merit in 2008 and the Rebirth of Poland award in 2013 for her contributions to sports.
