Ortiz maintains a rigorous training schedule. She incorporates yoga almost every morning. Three days a week, she engages in joint training sessions with her team. On the other two days, she focuses on cardio or strength and abdominal exercises at home. Additionally, she goes for walks once or twice daily since outdoor activities resumed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Outside of water polo, Ortiz enjoys watching movies and TV series, photography, reading, learning to cook, walking, and painting. Her family and friends have been the most influential people in her career. She believes that being the best involves being part of the best team, emphasising the importance of teamwork in water polo.

Awards and Honours

Ortiz has received numerous accolades throughout her career. In 2021, she was named Female Water Polo Player of the Year by the European Swimming Federation (LEN). The municipality of Rubi acknowledged her silver medal win at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She was also part of the Spanish national team that received an award from the Spanish Sports Press Association (AEPD) for their victory at the 2020 European Championships in Budapest.

In 2020, Ortiz won the Premio Admiral for Best Young Female Athlete in Spain and was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the European Championships in Budapest. She also earned MVP titles for both the 2017/18 Division de Honor season in Spain and the 2018 Spanish Super Cup.
