In 2011, she was named Romanian Athlete of the Year by the Romanian Athletic Federation. Additionally, she received the Order of Sports Merit from President Traian Basescu for her dedication and results.

She looks up to Mihaela Melinte, Usain Bolt, and Asafa Powell as her idols. These athletes inspire her to excel in her sport.
At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, she finished sixth in the hammer throw. This was the best performance by a Romanian at the event.
