Bronte Campbell Biography

Campbell's passion for swimming was ignited by watching the 2000 Olympic Games. She currently represents Knox Pymble Swim Club in Sydney. Her idols include Swiss tennis player Roger Federer and Australian swimmer Grant Hackett.

Injuries and Challenges

Campbell has faced numerous injuries throughout her career. After the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she dealt with shoulder injuries. She also experienced hip and shoulder issues during the 2016 Rio Olympics and had glandular fever and chronic fatigue syndrome in 2010.

Awards and Honours

Campbell's achievements include receiving a Patron Award at the Swimming Australia gala in 2016. She was named the 2015 Female Australian Swimmer of the Year alongside Emily Seebohm. In 2014, she won the Golden Moment Award for her role in setting a world record in the women's 4x100m freestyle relay at the Commonwealth Games.

Bronte's older sister, Cate Campbell, is also a celebrated swimmer with eight Olympic medals. The sisters co-authored a book titled 'Sister Secrets: Life Lessons from the Pool to the Podium' in November 2021.
