"He was with me at all the championships I have competed at," she said. "I was just thinking about him and that he would have been very proud of me."

In October 2020, Camilla published her autobiography titled 'Camilla - Without Filter'. The book offers an intimate look into her life beyond the handball court. "I have always been an open person," she said. "But there is a lot that people don't know about me outside the handball court."

Return to Norway

After playing abroad for three seasons in Romania, Denmark, and North Macedonia, Camilla returned to Norway ahead of the 2017/18 season. Her decision was influenced by her desire to be closer to family. "Family comes first, without a doubt," she stated.

Her husband Steffen had already returned to Norway before her and was appointed head coach of Sola HK in 2020. "It has worked well with Sola and I don't regret it at all," she said. "Now I have Steffen as a coach and I have never seen him so often as I do now."
