"When I came home to Denmark from Russia I could not train for badminton at all. But I did some strength training because I really wanted to get back to my previous level," he said. His determination paid off as doctors confirmed his return to normal health.

In 2015, he and his partner Mathias Boe were honoured as Best Male Players of the Year by Badminton Europe (BEC). This accolade is a testament to their skill and teamwork on the court.
