Lele began her diving journey at a young age, quickly catching the eye of Shi Meiqin. Her talent and hard work led her to join the Shanghai diving team. Under the guidance of national coach Yu Xiaoling, she honed her skills and developed into an elite athlete.

Challenges and Injuries

Throughout her career, Lele has faced several injuries. In 2018, she dealt with wrist and ankle injuries. Before the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, she sustained a wrist injury and later injured her elbow joint. Despite these setbacks, she continued to train and compete at a high level.

In 2019, Lele was honoured as an Elite Athlete of National Class by the General Administration of Sport of China. This recognition highlighted her achievements and dedication to the sport of diving.

Personal Interests and Inspirations

Outside of diving, Lele enjoys listening to music, reading novels, drawing, chatting with friends, playing games, and taking photos. She looks up to Chinese diver Wu Minxia as her idol, drawing inspiration from Wu's successful career.

Family Background

Lele comes from a family with a strong sports background. Her father, Chen Jian, is a senior gymnastics coach at a sports school in Shanghai. This familial connection to sports has undoubtedly influenced her career path.
