Christopher Burton Biography

Burton's career is marked by numerous accolades. He was named New South Wales Eventing Rider of the Year four times between 2005 and 2010. In 2005, he also won the Australian Eventer Rider of the Year award. Additionally, he received the Anna Savage Medal in 2008, sharing the honour with Megan Jones.

One of Burton's most memorable achievements was winning the team competition at the 2016 Nations Cup event in Aachen, Germany. His mother and coach Nelson Pessoa have been influential figures throughout his career. Swiss tennis player Roger Federer is his idol.

Burton resides in England with his wife Rebekah Thompson and their two sons, Harry (born 2017) and Jack (born 2019). Rebekah has also competed in eventing at an elite level. Burton enjoys skiing, water skiing, golf, and playing the guitar during his leisure time.
