Australia is set for yet another ODI World Cup final when they face two-time champions and unbeaten hosts India in the ICC World Cup 2023 Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday (November 19).
Pat Cummins' side were written off after back-to-back defeats to India and South Africa at the start of the tournament. But the World Champions fought back when they were down and out to become the third team to book the semi-final berth in this edition.

The record five-time champions showed why they are the champion side by beating South Africa in the low-scoring semi-final at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday (November 16).
Australia opened their campaign with thumping defeats to tournament favourites India and South Africa, before they set off on an eight-match winning streak to book their record eighth final appearance. So, what's their route to the World Cup final in 2023?

Australia, who are one of the founding members of the Cricket World Cup, have reached the final of the show-piece tournament for a record-extending 8 times in 13 attempts. They have in fact reached the final in four of the last six editions since 1999.
The five-time champions have only missed out on qualifying for the final in four editions so far. While they made a group stage exit in 1979, 1983, 1992, 2011 and 2019, Australia had reached as far as the semi-final in 2019 and the quarter-final stage in 2011.
In the seven previous ODI World Cup finals, Australia has a record of 5-2. Australia are the only team to win as many as five finals so far. Here is a look at Australia's record in ODI World Cup semi-final:
| Edition | Opponent | Venue | Result |
