- This will be just the second meeting between Bangladesh and England in men’s T20Is after England logged an eight-wicket win over Bangladesh during the group stage of the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
- Bangladesh have lost seven of their last nine men’s T20Is including their last two on the bounce; their only wins in that span came against Zimbabwe and the Netherlands in Australia at the 2022 ICC Men’s T20I World Cup.

- Bangladesh have scored 47% of their runs via boundaries in men’s T20Is since the beginning of 2022, the lowest rate of any Test-playing nation in that time, while only India (60%) and South Africa (60%) have a higher rate than England (58%).
- Litton Das has a batting strike rate of 140.6 from 360 balls faced in T20Is since the beginning of 2022, the highest of any Bangladesh player in the format in that time to have faced at least 10 balls.
- Chris Jordan (England) is five wickets shy of becoming the sixth player to take 100 scalps in men’s T20Is and will become the third player to do so for England (Katherine Sciver-Brunt, Anya Shrubsole); he has previously not taken a five-wicket haul in the format but has taken five wickets across his last two innings.
- Mustafizur Rahman (Bangladesh) has taken 97 wickets across his T20I career and needs only three more to join captain Shakib Al Hasan (128) as the only players to have taken 100 wickets for the country in T20Is.
- Jos Buttler (England) has a batting average of 35.2 in T20Is when playing as captain, the second-highest of any player in the men’s edition of the format when wearing the captain’s armband for England (Moeen Ali – 48.4).
