Ravindra (123* off 96 balls) and Conway (152* of 121 balls) slammed their respective centuries in what was their debut ODI World Cup game. With their imperious tons, the duo entered an elite club with their feat against England. They became 15th and 16th players overall to slam tons on WC debut.

First player to slam a century in ODI World Cup Debut

England batter Dennis Amiss was the first cricketer to slam a ton on his ODI World Cup debut during the 1975 World Cup, held in England. Amiss' ton came against India at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground. He played a knock of 137 off 147 deliveries and also hit 18 fours in that knock.

Virat Kohli was the first Indian batter to slam a century in his very first ODI World Cup match. Kohli achieved this feat in the 2011 ODI World Cup, played in the sub-continent. India-Bangladesh-Sri Lanka jointly hosted the multi-nation competition which MS Dhoni-led Indian side ended up winning.
