The International Cricket Council (ICC) has opened up an opportunity for fans to ask questions to skippers during the entire duration of the game's biggest tournament. (Photos, tweets from opening ceremonies)

Chance for fans to ask questions to World Cup 2015 captains

As the World Cup opens in New Zealand and Australia on February 14 (Saturday), fans can ask winning skippers a question, via the micro-blogging site Twitter. (All venues' guide)

With hashtag #AskTheCaptain, fans can tweet their questions to ICC's Twitter handle @ICC.

"In addition to showcasing relevant Tweets during the game, ICC is giving cricket fans around the world a chance to make dreams come true in each of the 49 World Cup matches. By Tweeting to @ICC with the hashtag #AskTheCaptain, Twitter users across the world can participate in the post-match interviews and get closer to the action then ever before," ICC said today.

"At every match, one Tweet containing a question will be picked up by the commentators and asked to the winning captain live on global Television feed during the post-match presentation," it added.

This is one of the features lined up by ICC on Twitter. Among others are World Cup Timeline, videos and also to decide play of the day.

So, get ready, ask the right questions and be a star on TV.
