Tough task ahead - As for IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, only a couple of bowlers stood out for them. The two experienced individuals in the form of T Natarajan and skipper Sai Kishore, bowled well as the others went the distance. Aashiq, the headline act - A few starts in that batting order for CSG, but only K Aashiq managed to make something out of it. He came out to bat in the Powerplay and got out in the very final over, on a fine 98, and his knock really held the innings together for the Super Gillies. A late unbeaten cameo of 28 off 14 balls from Ashwanth Valthapa meant that CSG notched up 66 runs in the last 5 overs and surpassed the 200-run mark as well.

Batting paradise - Once again, a team is put into bat, and that team manages to pile on the runs. Chepauk Super Gillies have managed to put a sizeable total on the board, but it will be interesting to see whether it's enough. IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans will be a tad disappointed to not have made great use of the new ball and will feel that they have given away 15-20 runs more than they would have liked.

Ram sets off for the single, but Valthapa sends him back, keen to keep the strike for the final ball. The return from the fielder is quick, reaches the bowler, and the stumps are broken with Ram well short of his ground. M Silambarasan is in next but he will be at the non-striker's end.

Full and outside off, he hangs back and drives through the line, but doesn't quite keep it down. The ball flies straight to S Mohamed Ali at cover, stationed on the edge of the circle, and he makes no mistake. Aashiq walks back to a warm round of applause, with the opposition players patting him on the back in a lovely show of sportsmanship. A top-class innings comes to a heartbreaking end.

Player of the Match - Who else but Tushar Raheja to get the accolade for his match-winning century! Raheja says that he was happy to contribute to the win, especially the way they lost the first game. He says that after the last game, there was no panic in the dug-out and they wanted to keep playing their brand of cricket. Also adds that they know sometimes it can backfire, but the coaching staff backs them well. Mentions that the coaching staff has given him and everyone in the team to play with freedom and that helps them big time.

Raheja, the chief architect - It wasn't the best of starts to the chase from IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, losing a couple of early wickets, but they were aggressive from the off and scored 66 in the Powerplay. Tushar Raheja then took over and had great support from Pradosh Ranjan Paul as well. The duo added a stellar stand of 149 runs, which blew away the opposition. Raheja notched up a ton and got out but Paul added the finishing touches and remained unbeaten on a fine 73 off just 41 balls. With the ball, it was a rather listless showing from Chepauk Super Gillies, barring M Vignesh, who picked up all three wickets of the chase. M Silambarasan bowled relatively well, but was put away towards the end of his spell. CSG will be hoping that their bowling comes good heading forward.

Dinesh Raj S takes a simple catch and Chepauk finally manage to end this big partnership, all a little too late though.
