Gayle and his fellow West Indies team-mate Dwayne Bravo have joined the long list of star cricketers who are in the state of Tamil Nadu to promote the ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) T20.

Both Gayle and Bravo, who are part of the Indian Premier League (IPL), are immensely popular among cricket fans in India. Hence, the organisers of TNPL have roped in the two Caribbean superstars to promote the game in the southern state.

Gayle shared the video of the rousing welcome he received in Chennai in which jubiliant students kept cheering him wherever his chariot moved inside the school campus. The students even danced to the beats of Bravo's popular 'Champion' song. Gayle even thanked the students in the video.

"Vanakkam Chennai/Velammal. Always good to inspire and make an impact on the future ones out there. #Love&Respect 👊🏿 @tnpremierleague," wrote Gayle.
