Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad both have had an inconsistent season so far. CSK sit 3rd in the table while SRH are second from bottom, but a win for SRH will take them level on points with MS Dhoni's men.
MA Chidambaram stadium this season has been a batting deck and the same is expected there on Friday as well. CSK do have a strong batting lineup, but SRH have a terrific batting unit as well.

In terms of bowling, SRH and CSK are very close to each other. Chennai have a relatively younger and inexperienced attack with the ball, while SRH possess mammoth experience in the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Chennai's superior home record at their own ground can be a telling factor, but the Yellow army have already tasted defeat at their fortress this season. But considering all the permutations and combinations, we believe CSK have a bigger chance to add two more points to their tally.
Sunrisers middle order will play a pivotal part if they are to get something out of it. The likes of Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and Abhishek Sharma will have to rise and counter the CSK spinners and that battle may well be the key factor.
Chennai Super Kings have a dominant record over Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL over the years. CSK have won 13 out of 18 meetings between these two sides, with SRH winning just the remaining five matches. CSK have also won four out of the last five meetings between these two sides.
