David Warner mesmerised by Virat Kohli's masterful 160* against South Africa

New Delhi, Feb 8: Explosive Australia opener David Warner was amongst the cricketers who were awestruck by India skipper Virat Kohli's sensational knock against South Africa in the third ODI in Cape Town.

Riding on Kohli's unbeaten knock of 160, India posted a mammoth 303/6 against the Proteas, which they won by a huge margin of 124 runs. This was his second century of the ODI series and third on the South African tour.

Kohli smashed his 34th ODI century as he scored more than half of the runs scored by the team. Leading from the front, the Indian skipper battled through the tough conditions at Newlands and brilliantly constructed his innings.

The skipper walked into the middle in the second over of the game, as opener Rohit Sharma was dismissed on the final ball of the first over, and carried his bat through.

Initially, Kohli scored lesser than run a ball but gradually achieved a strike rate of 100.63. The right-handed batting mainstay took the visitors to winning total even as no other batsman, except Shikhar Dhawan, could score runs at the other end.

Kohli had developed a cramp in his 90s, but the skipper had realised the importance of his wicket and ensured he stayed until the end.

It was his sublime knock that impressed Warner who took to Twitter and lauded Kohli for yet another fine century.

"He's on a different level this bloke wow. What a player @imVkohi," wrote Warner.

The Australian vice-captain wasn't just the one who was mesmerised with the sensational knock from the Indian skipper.
