DC vs KKR: Nitish Rana, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain, did not play in his side's last match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Friday. Will Nitish Rana play today against Delhi Capitals?
KKR will be taking on Delhi Capitals in their third match of the IPL 2024 at the Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, April 3. Chances of Nitish Rana playing in the match against Delhi are really low.

As per reports, the 30-year-old injured his hand in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Eden Gardens. The same is being considered as the reason why the southpaw did not play against RCB in Bengaluru.
Anukul Roy got a chance to play for KKR in the match against RCB. A confused Shreyas Iyer did not give any update on Nitish Rana. "The bowling - we've got one change. Anukul comes in. I am seriously confused over here. There are two teams given to me right now," he said at the toss.
KKR also handed a debut IPL cap to 18-year-old top-order batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi who was named as one of the five Impact Substitute Players. Notably, Nitish Rana did not find a place in the Impact Substitute list as well.
Nitish Rana recently posted an image on Instagram and wrote "Smile. Life’s too short to wait for reasons" in the caption. Harbhajan Singh reacted to the picture saying, "Get fit champion."
KKR teammates Ramandeep Singh and Harshit Rana also reacted. "Cheti aajo fit hokke (Get fit and return fastly)," Ramandeep wrote.
"Smile he kehdeeee," wrote fast bowler Harshit Rana. The comments of Venkatesh Iyer hinted that Nitish Rana wasn't travelling with the KKR squad. "Already missing you here," wrote Venkatesh Iyer for Nitish Rana, who captained KKR in IPL 2023.
Reports have emerged that Nitish Rana is eyeing a comeback with the match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on April 8. He should definitely be fit for KKR's match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 14.
