New Delhi, Nov 7: In an attempt to create awareness in the wake of crisis over prevailing pollution in the national capital region, Team India's Test skipper Virat Kohli has sent out a message to the people.

Kohli took to Twitter to upload a video in which he said, "Schools are getting closed, sporting events are getting cancelled and it's a situation that is only getting worse by the day."

In a series of tweets, the 28-year-old cricketer appealed to the people in the national capital to keep the environment clean and green.

"If we don't act, there is going to be massive problems in the future," he further said, "Kids are going to suffer with diseases. So look after your families, look after your children whose future really depends on how we act in the current situation and make it better for them. It is my humble request to act in a responsible manner, be aware, and please don't do things that are harming the environment even more. Lets get together, Delhiites, and start making a difference, because it's very very important."
