The Indian Super League is set to witness a battle between East and West as FC Goa take on East Bengal on Wednesday (March 6).
FC Goa are currently placed 5th in the ISL table with 29 points in 16 matches, whereas East Bengal currently sit 9th in the table with 18 points in 17 matches.

After a superb first phase, FC Goa have lost their momentum in the league with a five-match winless run. The Gaurs are six points off the top spot and need a win to resurrect their ISL shield dreams. East Bengal's battle is to get into the playoffs, and that conquest took another bad hit after their defeat at the hands of league leaders Odisha FC in the last match.
FC Goa are boosted by the return of Brandon Fernandes, who was out with illness in the last two matches. Coach Manolo Marquez has urged his team to show desire as three points are absolutely crucial for the Gaurs. Carlos Martinez, Noah Sadaoui and co. will be pivotal going forward, whereas Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem looks certain to start between the sticks. It will also be a special tie for Borja Herrera, who made his move away to Goa from East Bengal in the January Transfer Window.
East Bengal have received a massive squad boost ahead of the Goa tie, as Saul Crespo is fit and ready for the Goa tie. The case for Nandha Kumar is still doubtful and Carles Cuadrat will be hoping to overcome the issue as Naorem Mahesh may be handed a start. Ajay Chhetri is unavailable for this match after receiving his 4th Yellow Card in the last match.
The match between FC Goa vs East Bengal in the ISL 2023-24 will be on Wednesday (March 6). The ISL 2023-24 match between FC Goa and East Bengal will start at 7:30 pm IST on Monday.
