Former Chennai Super Kings cricketer Ambati Rayudu is all set to participate in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023. The former India cricketer will be playing for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the coming season and will thus become the second player from the country to play in the domestic T20 league.
According to a report by ESPNCricinfo, Ambati Rayudu, who was a part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), played a crucial role in their remarkable achievement of winning their fifth IPL title.

Rayudu will now become the second player, following Praveen Tambe, to make himself available for participation in the league. 37-year-old Ambati Rayudu, a cricketer from Hyderabad, was signed by CSK's sister franchise Texas Super Kings for the Major Cricket League in the USA.
However, he decided not to participate in the MLC after the Indian cricket board announced that it was considering implementing a cooling-off period policy for players.
This policy aimed to prevent players from participating in overseas leagues immediately after their retirement. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is still undecided on this matter.
Rayudu showcased exceptional performance throughout his career in the IPL. Known for his explosive batting skills and versatility, Rayudu has left a significant impact on the tournament. With over 4000 runs under his belt, he has proven himself as a reliable batsman. His ability to score quick runs makes him a valuable asset for any team.
Rayudu's association with CSK was nothing short of extraordinary. He joined the team in 2018 and immediately made an impact with his aggressive batting style. In that season alone, he scored over 600 runs at an average of around 50. His ability to anchor innings while also accelerating when needed earned him accolades from fans and experts alike.
Despite retiring early from the game, Ambati Rayudu has left a lasting legacy. His contributions to CSK's success will always be remembered by fans. His ability to perform under pressure and deliver consistent performances made him a fan favourite.
