In a cricketer's life, fitness is the utmost important thing. A sportsperson's career is determined by fitness and a healthy diet is a massive component to maintaining an optimum fitness level.

Gautam Gambhir is one of those players who has maintained a healthy lifestyle and strict diet regimes. The former India player has openly talked about his humble lifestyle and food habits.

Recently, Gautam Gambhir's positive comment on Virat Kohli at a TV programme made a lot of stir on social media. At the same show, Gambhir also spoke about his excellent memory. Taking note from that, a fan asked the secret of his sharp memory. And Gautam Gambhir came back with a prompt reply.

The former India player says a boring diet chart is something which is the secret to his healthy brain and sharp memory. The former player was previously seen eating Dal Chawal (Lentils and Rice) and he has often mentioned the simple food being his favourite one.

The former player also mentioned two things he never did in his life. The player said he never drinks alcohol or smokes nicotine products.

"Healthy boring diet. No alcohol, no smoking," Gambhir replied to the question.

The former India player will be sitting at the Kolkata Knight Riders dugout for the IPL 2024 season. He has been roped in by KKR and thus has left his two-year stint as mentor of Lucknow Supergiants.

Gambhir was one of the key members of India's two World Cup-winning campaigns in 2007 (T20) and 2011 (ODI) respectively. He has also been a two-time IPL-winning captain of KKR and will be hoping to break KKR's drought of titles in 2024.
