Former India batter Gautam Gambhir has been among the headlines for some dodgy and controversial instances in the recent past.
Gambhir has dominated the news this year with his antiques with Virat Kohli, and was amid the attraction again in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 after showing the middle finger to fans.

In the IPL, Gautam Gambhir was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders for seven seasons. The southpaw captained the KKR side into two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014 respectively. The Delhi-born took the franchise to its pinnacle under his leadership and is regarded as the best-ever captain to don the KKR shirt.
And recently, the former India player met KKR's owner Shah Rukh Khan. The duo had a reunion and Gambhir shared a picture of him and the Bollywood star. Gambhir, who was instrumental in India's World Cup glories of 2007 and 2011, also shared a heartfelt message, mentioning SRK as the 'King of Hearts'.
"He's not just the king of Bollywood but the king of hearts. Every time we meet I go back with endless love and respect. So much to learn from u. Simply the best SRK," Gambhir wrote on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The post has gone viral on social media.
Shah Rukh Khan, India's premier superstar has seen his recent film Jawaan surpassing massive heights in terms of box office earnings. The action movie has been a blockbuster around the globe and the film has already minted Rs. 518 crore.
Gambhir's relationship with KKR management is cordial and there have been calls for him taking over the coaching role at the City of Joy franchise. Gambhir currently is employed as a mentor for Lucknow Supergiants in the IPL and is also a Member of Parliament for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
