Easy job for the Unicorns? Alright then, 86 is the target on the board, and it's the lowest total posted ever in the Global Super League. It should be an easy job for the Unicorns to get the chase. But don't forget, the Warriors have some high-skilled bowlers like Imran Tahir, Mohammad Nabi, Gudakesh Motie, and Romario Shepherd, and if they manage to get some early wickets in the Powerplay, the Grand Finale might just get even more interesting. So don't go anywhere, as the second chapter of this riveting contest will unfold in any time.

Up for a quick chat - Anirudh Immanuel says that it feels really nice and he just wanted to stick to his strengths and keep things simple. Adds that he wanted to keep the stumps in play as the wicket was helpful for the spinners. Further mentions that they came into the final looking to enjoy it as they weren't even in a position to get to the final just a few days back. Mentions that getting Nabi bowled was his favorite wicket and ends by saying that they just need to keep wickets in hand to win the game.

Final flourish - Well, the story took a bit of a turn. It was the ninth-wicket pair who breathed life back into the innings for the defending champions, stitching together a spirited 42-run partnership, led largely by Matthew Forde, who blazed 28 off just 23 balls. A final flourish of 15 runs for the last-wicket partnership followed before the innings finally folded for Guyana Amazon Warriors.

Absolute carnage - After losing the toss and being sent to bowl first, San Francisco Unicorns absolutely demolished the top-order batters in the Powerplay, picking four wickets and giving away only 24 runs. Three were taken by Peter Siddle and one by Fabian Allen. The wickets kept on falling as, just after the first six overs, Anirudh picked another three wickets to derail the middle order.

The veteran and the prodigy - The story just can't get any better. The Powerplay belonged entirely to the 41-year-old pacer, who turned back the clock and stole the show inside the first six overs. Then, as if on cue, the baton passed to 21-year-old Anirudh Immanuel, who took over and made the rest of the innings his own. A 20-year age gap between the two headline acts, and yet both delivered like seasoned pros. Age, as they say, really is just a number. For Guyana, though, the real heroes wore unfamiliar shoes, the tail-enders, who dug in and added crucial runs to help the side post 85 on the board.

Tahir says that they didn't have a great start and he just told his guys to have that belief, and is grateful for the way his team fought. Goes on to then laud San Francisco Unicorns for the way they played and managed to reach the final with such a young team. Also says that they wanted to make the Guyanese people proud and inspire young kids. Further mentions that they were well short with the bat, but wanted to give a fight and again goes on to laud the way his players played.

The captain of San Francisco Unicorns - Hassan Khan starts by congratulating their opposition for putting up an impeccable fight. On his perception regarding the final match, Khan states that they were pretty confident coming into the finals. They had a pretty strong campaign, and they were looking forward to riding on the momentum, but he feels that they could have done a lot better with the bat. About their tactic for the second innings, Hassan says that they tried to execute a strong Powerplay by hitting some boundaries and putting the pressure on their opponent but it didn't work for them. About his first time leading this franchise, Hassan says that he tried his level best but he hopes his leadership skills keep getting better with time. About their campgain, he reckons that they bowled and batted well overall, but there is surely room for improvement, which they will work on and will come back stronger next year.

Player of the Tournament - Mohammad Nabi gets the award for his overall performance. Nabi says that something like this has happened twice in his career, when he's won such a low-scoring final, and is happy that they got the win. Mentions that on this type of wicket, you need to keep your lines and lengths correct, as it isn't easy to bat on and is a bit unhappy as he kept getting run out throughout the tournament. Nabi goes on to add that he is really enjoying the batting at this age and is trying to bring the power-hitting into play. On the final, he says that they always believed once they picked up those two early wickets. Ends by saying that this win is a special one for him.

Player of the Match - Dwaine Pretorius is given the accolade in the Final for his unbeaten and crucial 17 with the bat and 24/3 with the ball. Dwaine starts off by saying that this is the best game of his entire career. Adds that it was a pure emotional roller coaster and he is very happy to get the win. About the batting partnership with Forde, he says that they just discussed anchoring the innings as much as they can. On being asked about the pitch while batting, he says that it was hard to hit big runs and that is why he was trying to give away the strike. On being asked about the time they thought they could win it from, to this Dwaine answers that when they got the wicket of Gore, they pretty much knew that they could win it from here on. This is the lowest total defended in a T20 final - to this, Dwaine replied that he was having a chat with Powell and he stated that the last time they defended this low total was in primary school. Ends up saying that they fought till the very end and never gave up.

The Presentation ceremony...

The big names stepped up for Guyana - With the score being 53/3 and just 33 more needed, the game turned again, and it was a big shift in momentum. The veteran duo of Imran Tahir and Mohammad Nabi, ripped through the middle order and pegged them down to 58/8. Then came some late resistance from Fabian Allen and Peter Siddle, but neither of them could really find a boundary or two. Allen was dismissed with just 14 needed and then Siddle did hit a six, but Guyana needed just one more wicket and they got it via a sensational run-out from Shimron Hetmyer.

The Unicorns thought they had it - With just 85 runs scored in the first innings by the Guyana Amazon Warriors, it all seemed like one-way traffic. However, San Francisco Unicorns lost wickets in the first ball of their first two overs, and that set things up for a close contest. The Unicorns once again became the favorites when Oliver Peake and Sanjay Krishnamurthi were at the crease.

Next up, it's Rahmanullah Gurbaz - Gurbaz starts off saying that he is feeling very happy to win it. Adds that after a not-so-good performance in the first innings, they kept their morale high and beilived to defend the low total. On the surface, he says that they knew it was going to be a hard surface to bat on, but they also knew that they have the best bowling side in the tournament and believed that they could get their opposition.

Rovman Powell also shares his thoughts - Powell says that the last time he saw a team defend less than 90 runs was in grade cricket in school. Adds that it is an unforgettable moment and ends by talking about donating his money to charity, saying that it is a privilege for him that he can help others.

Shimron Hetmyer soaks it all in - Shimron says thank you to the fans and mentions that there's no chance that he's played a crazier game than this one. On the game-clinching run-out, he says that he felt it was out but wanted to see it on the big screen. Mentions that he can't express what he is feeling right now.

States that they never lost hope, never stopped chasing and that is the reason why they have successfully defended the championship. About the last run out, he says that he was unsure about it, but when he saw the replay, the feeling he had was unreal.
