Recalling how the "Turbanator" took the pressure off the team on gruelling tours, Kirsten said, "We had great characters too. Bhajji (Harbhajan Singh) was the funniest."

Kirsten, who was the head coach when India lifted World Cup in 2011 under MS Dhoni's captaincy, is now in awe of India's Test skipper Virat Kohli and added that he loves watching Virat Kohli bat.

"Enjoy watching Virat. Love the way he takes control and finish games," Kirsten said.

He also said that Kohli's intensity helps the team lift itself.

The South African is currently in India on an assignment in Rajasthan for a coaching stint with the Rajasthan Cricket Academy. He was also the coach of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Daredevils.

Kirsten has also praised the IPL for it has helped India find young and quality players.
