Hardik Pandya Injury Update Ahead Of India vs England: India star all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to miss the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 encounter against England on Sunday (October 29) in Lucknow.
As per reports, Pandya, who is the limited-overs vice-captain of the Indian Cricket Team, will be missing the game at the Ekana Stadium on precautionary grounds as team management isn't in any hurry.

The Baroda cricketers first encountered the ankle injury during India's match against Bangladesh, where the Men In Blue registered a stunning eight-wicket victory at MCA Stadium in Pune. World Cup 2023: Hardik IN, Who OUT?
After sustaining the injury in his ankle, the all-rounder could only bowl three deliveries and walked off the pitch. He was taken for scans following his injury, which led him to sit out of the succeeding game against New Zealand in Dharamshala.
However, on a relieving note, insiders from the cricket board believe that Pandya's injury is not a critical concern and no haste would be made to bring him back to action, even if he regains complete fitness shortly.

"Yes, Hardik is likely to miss the next match vs England in Lucknow. It is more of a precaution at this stage and nothing serious," a BCCI official was quoted as saying by a Cricketnext report.
In Dharamsala, Mohammed Shami and Suryakumar Yadav debuted in the World Cup in Hardik's absence against New Zealand. The duo represented Team India in their match of the 10-team showpiece.
Seizing the opportunity, Shami - the right-arm pacer - displayed a stellar performance by picking up five wickets for just 54 runs - a personal record for his second World Cup and third in ODI career in total. Subsequently, the Indian team sent the Kiwis packing for 273 runs after electing to bat at the HPCA Stadium.
Following their victory against New Zealand, despite the absence of Pandya, the Indian team, led by skipper Rohit Sharma and star performer Virat Kohli, conquered yet another successful run chase.
Kohli managed to score an impressive 95 runs, nearly equalling Sachin Tendulkar's all-time record. Additionally, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with an invaluable unbeaten 39, leading to a crucial 78-run partnership with Kohli, and steering India towards victory over New Zealand for the first time in two decades at an ICC event.
Even with Pandya's absence in the upcoming match against England, the undefeated Indian team hopes to maintain the winning combination.
