Hasin Jahan accuses Mohammed Shami of sleeping with call girls at hotels, moves Supreme Court

Senior India cricketer Mohammed Shami's estranged wife Hasin Jahan has moved to the Supreme Court challenging the Calcutta High Court order which stayed the arrest of her husband.

Hasin Jahan moved to the court in 2020 and accused Shami and his family members of sexual assault and domestic violence. Jahan - who has been living in Kolkata with their daughter after parting from her celebrity husband - has also accused the cricketer of demanding dowry.

Jahan while approaching the Supreme Court, has alleged that the senior India pacer - who is participating in the IPL 2023 for Gujarat Titans - has been involved in extra-marital affairs. Jahan claimed that he indulges in sexual relations with other women inside hotel rooms in the present day as well, and when she decided to raise her voice against this, she was assaulted by Mohammed Shami and his family members.

In the her fresh salvo against Shami, Jahan has alleged that the cricketer has indulged in illicit relations with other women inside hotel rooms and continues to do so. She went on to allege that the cricketer continues to sleep with other women, including prostitutes, in the hotels booked by the BCCI.

Jahan claimed that when she raised her voice, she was assaulted by the cricketer and her family members. Her lawyer, in the petition submitted to the Supreme Court, claimed, "When the Petitioner raised her voice against it, she was assaulted and harassed by her husband and his family members, who also constantly demanded dowry from her."

She has also accused the UP-born cricketer - who plays for Bengal in the domestic circuit - of threatening and harassing her for dowry. She filed a police report and sought an arrest warrant against the cricketer after he assaulted her. In her petition, Jahan - who is working as an actor and model - urged the court to not give any special treatment to the India cricketer because of his celebrity status.

In the past, Jahan had shared alleged chats of the Indian cricketer in which he was reportedly speaking with a woman. The contents of the chat were sexual in nature and that he was inviting the woman up to hotel room.

Jahan had in the past accused the cricketer of involving in match-fixing and age fudging. She claimed that the cricketer has two different age certificates and got his age certificate changed to play for India. While the BCCI probe gave the cricketer a clean chit on match-fixing allegations.
