New Zealand batter Mark Chapman and Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi have made significant improvements in their latest ICC Men's T20I Player Rankings released on Wednesday (April 24). While Pakistan star batter Babar Azam slipped one place.
Mark Chapman, the left-handed batter, and Shaheen Afridi, the left-arm Pakistan fast bowler, have been rewarded for their outstanding performances in the ongoing five-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand. The series currently stands level at 1-1 after three matches.

Chapman's unbeaten knock of 87 runs off 42 balls in the third match has propelled him up the rankings by 12 places to claim the 33rd position in the latest weekly update.
Meanwhile, Shaheen's impressive bowling display, where he took three wickets for 13 runs in the second match, has elevated him by two places to secure the 17th position.
In addition to Chapman and Shaheen, Tim Seifert, the wicketkeeper-batter from New Zealand, has climbed from 27th to 24th position in the rankings, while Ish Sodhi, the leg-spinner, has moved up from 23rd to 18th position.
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam - who had scores of 14 and 37 in the last two games against the Blackcaps - has slipped one place to fifth with 753 rating points. South Africa star batter Aiden Markram has displaced Babar at fourth position with 755 rating points.
Star India batter Suryakumar Yadav continues to top the Men's T20I Batting Rankings with 861 rating points while senior England spinner Adil Rashid remains the number one T20I bowler with 761 rating points under his name.
Furthermore, Dipendra Singh Airee has become the fourth player from Nepal to enter the top 50 in the Men's T20I Batting Rankings. Airee achieved this feat after scoring an unbeaten 44 runs against Hong Kong in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Men's Premier Cup.
Previously, Kushal Bhurtel (27th in March 2022), Paras Khadka (42nd in September 2019), and Rohit Paudel (45th in March 2024) had also reached the top 50 from Nepal.
Airee's remarkable performance has not only propelled him to the 11th position in the all-rounders' rankings, the highest for Nepal but has also highlighted Nepal's growing presence in international cricket. Kaushal Malla is the next best from Nepal, securing the 25th position.
Additionally, Anshuman Rath of Hong Kong has climbed seven places to reach the 70th position among batters, while Alishan Sharafu of the United Arab Emirates has surged 29 places to secure the 88th position.
Similarly, Nepal's Sompal Kami has moved up 16 places to claim the 92nd position among bowlers, showcasing the diverse talent pool emerging from the ACC Men's Premier Cup.
