ILT20 2024 Final saw MI Emirates defeating Dubai Capitals in a largely one-sided final on Saturday (February 17) at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. MI Emirates won the final by a margin of 45 runs to lift their maiden title in the competition.
MI Emirates were led by West Indies cricketer Nicholas Pooran and defeated Sam Billings-led Dubai Capitals quite comfortably in the ILT20 season two final. Having posted a daunting 208/3 in the stipulated 20 overs, MI Emirates restricted Dubai Capitals at 167/8 in 20 overs in the run chase.

Andre Fletcher (53) and Nicholas Pooran (57) were the top scorers for MI Emirates in the big finale. In the run chase of 209, the Capitals failed in the batting department. Captain Billings was the top-scorer for DC with 40.
MI Emirates' skipper Pooran, also received the Player of the Match. Pooran hailed his openers for setting the stage for the victory. "Truly special to be the man of the match in the final. We spoke about having the right energy and attitude. I couldn't have asked for a better start, they (openers) did the hard work, we just finished it off. It's about understanding the situation and batting accordingly," Pooran said.

The tournament's unique belts for individual award winners were also up for grabs besides a USD 15,000 prize per individual award. The player of the match and player of the series were also awarded along with the cash prizes.
James Vince from Gulf Giants topped the batting charts with 356 runs in 12 innings, earning him the prestigious Green Belt. Waqar Salamkheil claimed the title of highest wicket-taker, securing the White Belt with 17 dismissals. His superior economy rate edged out Fazalhaq Farooqi, who also had 17 wickets.
Muhammad Waseem was honoured with the Blue Belt for being the best UAE player for the second consecutive year. Sikandar Raza was recognized as the Most Valuable Player, receiving the Red Belt.
