IND vs SA: Anushka Sharma reacts as Virat Kohli equals Sachin Tendulkar's tally of 49 ODI hundreds

IND vs SA: Anushka Sharma was a proud wife after Virat Kohli hit his 49th hundred and equalled Sachin Tendulkar's record for most most hundred in ODI cricket on Sunday. To make things even more special, Kohli hit the milestone hundred on the occasion of his 35th birthday in front of a packed crowd at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Anushka Sharma was quick to express her feelings and congratulate husband Virat Kohli by posting an Instagram Story. The Instagram Story is carrying a still of Kohli thanking the almighty for the landmark hundred.

"Apne birthday par khud ko present," Anushka Sharma has captioned the story. The Bollywood star had already wished Kohli a happy 35th birthday through an Instagram post earlier in the day.

"I love YOUUU through this life and beyond and endlessly so, in every shape, form, through it all, whatever it may be so," she wrote.

Virat Kohli scored 101 unbeaten runs off 121 balls on a difficult batting surface against South Africa as India ended their innings at 326/5 in 50 overs.

Kohli is only the third India batter after Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli to score a hundred on his birthday. He also became only the second India batter to complete 6000 ODI runs in India.

The innings also helped Virat Kohli jump to second spot in the list of batters with most runs in the ongoing World Cup 2023. He has scored 543 runs in eight matches at an average of 108.60. Quinton de Kock (550), who was leading Kohli by just two runs, was clean bowled by Mohammed Siraj for five runs in the match.
