New Delhi, Sep 12: As selectors announced India's squad for the upcoming three-match Test series against New Zealand and sidelining senior India cricketer Gautam Gambhir's performance, upset fans criticised the team's selection process.

The senior opener, who has performed very well at the domestic circuit, slammed four back-to-back half centuries in the ongoing Duleep Trophy.

But, his performance was ignored as the selectors chose to give skipper Virat Kohli a settled squad, which has returned home after winning the Test series 2-0 against West Indies.

Fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment after Gambhir was ignored and out-of-form Shikhar Dhawan was picked by the selectors.

The selection committee persisted with Shikhar Dhawan, whose place in the side has been questioned along with Rohit Sharma.
