OUT! Caught. Andrew Tye to Kuldeep Yadav. Length ball, down leg side on the front foot Slog, top edge to leg slip, by Paine. A wicket on the final ball of the innings and it's Yadav that goes, he's gone for the big slog, understandably, but unfortunately for him it takes the top edge and it goes high into the air Paine is underneath it to take a simple catch. India finish on 118 and it's a poor performance from India, they never really got started and it was a case of damage limitation towards the second half of the innings. Australia should chase this down with ease, but it's T20 cricket, anything could happen and India are a good side.

OUT! Run Out. Andrew Tye to Kuldeep Yadav. Length ball, down leg side down the track working, hit pad to slips, fielded by Paine. It's the last over and India have taken a suicide run, Paine hits and Bumrah is gone, and indeed he did, leaving India with one wicket left, three balls to go. It was a good ball from Tye to squeeze Yadav on the leg-side.

An eigth wicket brings a good partnership to a close by the lower order batsman, India are in trouble still but will nonetheless be looking to finish well, with the hopes some early wickets in the second innings can make for an interesting game. Pandya has holed out to long-off in an attempt to get some runs at the end of this innings, it was caught by the sub fielder Dan Christian.

  • 15.3

FOUR! Yuzvendra Chahal to Moises Henriques. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, well timed past long off for 4 runs. A lovely four to finish off an emphatic victory for Australia, that was a brilliant shot as well, as he drove the ball back down the ground. It caps off a 109 run partnership for the two batters, with Head just short of his 50 and Henriques going plenty past his. It was a great bowling performance from the Australians who put the pressure on India right from the get-go with a great bowling display from youngster Behrendorff who picked up four wickets and got his best bowling figures in international T20 cricket with them four big wickets early doors. India struggled to recover but a couple partnerships got them to a score which wasn't embarassing for them. It was no challenge for Australia though despite the early wickets, they recovered well and dominated with a batting performance that got them to their target with plenty of balls to spare. It's a learning curve for many of the young bowlers in the Indian side and a couple of them struggled with the dew and wet ball. Australia level the series 1-1 and it makes for an interesting game on friday to wrap up the series, with both teams playing for the series victory. Let's hope the weather stays dry for that one! For now, it's goodbye from us.
