Chennai, Sep 9: First batch of Australia's limited-overs squad that will play five one-day internationals and three Twenty20 international games against India has arrived here on Friday (September 8).
The limited-overs specialists, who arrived from Australia via Singapore, were: Nathan Coulter-Nile, James Faulkner, Aaron Finch, Travis Head, Marcus Stoinis, Adam Zampa, and Kane Richardson.
The second batch of players led by skipper Steve Smith and vice-captain David Warner would reach Chennai on Saturday from Bangladesh, where they were involved in a two-Test series.
Richardson was not a part of the squad initially, but the pacer came as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood -- who sustained an injury during the first Test against Bangladesh.
The 14-member squad will be involved in an ODI series, followed by three T20 internationals against Virat Kohli-led side.
The visitors will play a warm-up match against BCCI's Board President's XI at Chepauk on September 12 before they take on India at the same venue in the first ODI on September 17.
The Board President's XI side, led by Gurkeerat Mann, has several youngsters who did well in the IPL.
