ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: In the India vs Bangladesh match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune, it took some time for the fans to get into the venue.

Pune MCA Stadium - which is hosting an ICC Cricket World Cup match for the first time - has narrow access roads and huge traffic jams making it difficult for the spectators to reach the stadium without hassle.

Fans bared the sun and heat and patiently stood in the queues to enter the gates. But that didn't deter their enthusiasm and passion as chants of India-India and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' reverberated outside the gates.

Situated in the foothills of the Sahyadri Mountain Ranges, the picturesque MCA Stadium in Pune has the capacity to host 37,000 spectators. Once the crowd, mostly donning the blue jerseys, settled in, the entire venue started buzzing.

The stadium administration made elaborate arrangements to cater to the needs of the crowd inside the ground. The Maharashtra government made arrangements for free drinking water. The food counters installed inside the stadium premises started getting busy.

The vendors and hawkers present inside the stadium got into action mode soon after as the demands for food and drinks started soaring. They started catering snacks in the stands at the stadium to make it an unforgettable experience for the fans.

INDvsBAN: What are the fans eating at MCA Stadium?

There is a huge demand for pizzas at the stadium and the aroma of cheeze-laden pizza started floating in the air. Pizza delivery boys could also be spotted hovering around the flights as the spectators started digging into the Italian dish.

The second most popular snack at the stadium is the traditional 'Bhelpuri'. The hawkers could be seen selling Maharashtra's local snacks along with cold drinks and chips of various kinds. The crowd is munching on these delicacies amid a high-octane match between the two rivals.

Some counters also sold popcorn and burgers and kids could be seen standing in queues to purchase these food items. Cold drinks of all kinds are also in huge demand as fans are resorting to them to beat the heat.

Coming to the match between India and Bangladesh, the visiting skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto won the toss and elected to bat first on a belter of a track. The Bangla Tigers elected to bat first to post a big total on the board and put Team India under some pressure in the run chase, as the latter hasn't chased down a big total so far in the extravaganza.

The openers Litton Das and Tanzid Hasan gave Bangladesh a confident start in the powerplay. The openers had a partnership of 94 runs for the first wicket before Kuldeep Yadav trapped Hasan in front for 51.
