India and Bangladesh will take on each other in the ICC World Cup 2023 Match 17 on Thursday (October 19) at the MCA Stadium in Pune.

The Men in Blue have so far won their first three matches and are sitting pretty on top of the WC 2023 points table. Bangladesh, in contrast, have lost two of their first three matches and are already languishing behind the race for the semifinals.

It is a massive encounter for the Tigers as they look to resurrect their bid for the knockouts. For India, the match has added significance as it will ensure four victories in a row and thus take them closer towards the semifinal qualification.

India don't have any injury concern at the moment. Indian team do have a sweet conundrum ahead of Bangladesh tie as there are performances galore so far within the team. Shubman Gill, who made a return to the team afte recovering from Dengue, looks set to feature again. On the other hand, it is to be seen whether Rahul Dravid and his think tank opts with Shardul Thakur or decides to bring a spinner to tackle Bangladesh.

For the Tigers, the situation is quite ambiguous, especially after the injury scare of Shakib Al Hasan. If the Bangladeshi captain is not available, it will be a big blow for them. But the latest reports have said that the Bangladeshi skipper is fighting hard to be available for the India match.
