Ravichandran Ashwin has come in as a late replacement for Axar Patel. Ahead of India's match against England, let's have a look at the pitch of Barsapara Stadium and the weather forecast on Saturday in Guwahati.
The pitch at the Barsapara Stadium is expected to be a batter's paradise. On Friday, it was a perfect deck in the match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, and it will be more of the same on Saturday as well.
There will be pace and bounce and will give the batters full value for their shots. The pitch can turn at the latter stages, but under the lights, it can assist the batting team even more. Hence, captains may look to Bowl first after winning the toss.
The temperature in Guwahati will be around 32° C in the afternoon, which may cool down to around 27° C in the evening. The sky is expected to remain cloudy and there is a 34 per cent chance of precipitation.
We may witness scattered thunderstorms but it may have no effect on the outcome of the match. A gentle wind of around 10 km/hr is expected to blow throughout the afternoon, which is tipped to decrease gradually as the night progresses.
