India vs Pakistan: 'BCCI hired tantrik to perform black magic on Pakistan team in Ahmedabad,' Pak journalist makes bizarre claim

Pakistan Cricket Team's shambolic defeat against India in the high-stakes ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 league game has become tough to swallow for the Pakistani team's supporters.

Several former cricketers blamed Babar Azam-led side for succumbing under pressure in front of a packed Narendra Modi Stadium, where one lakh plus spectators were rooting for the Men in Blue.

The fans are also criticising Babar Azam and the team management for not putting up a great fight in the high-profile game, which fizzled out to be a one-sided affair. The team is getting slammed left-right-center for subduing against Rohit Sharma and his band despite getting off to a good start in Ahmedabad after they were invited to bat first.

The experts are advising the Men in Green to learn from the mistakes against India and look to bounce back in style in the coming matches to keep themselves in the semi-final race.

India vs Pakistan: Entry of supernatural elements

But the Pakistani supporters are yet to recover from their team's seven wickets mauling from India at the Motera. While the Pakistan cricket team's director, Mickey Arthur, blamed lack of support in the crowd for his boys' poor show against India, a Pakistani journalist has now alleged BCCI took the help of 'black magic'.

A Pakistani scribe and TikToker, Hareem Shah, has alleged that BCCI Honourary Secretary Jay Shah hired a tantrik to perform 'black magic' during the India-Pakistan match and orchestrate the Babar Azam-led team's defeat.

"According to reliable sources, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah had enlisted the services of a black magic expert and Tantrik named Karthik Chakraborty to perform black magic on the Pakistani team. The International Cricket Council (ICC) should investigate this matter thoroughly, as it is simply unacceptable," Shah wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.

She has based her suspicion on the fact that Pakistan's batting was going smoothly in the match against India when captain Babar and his trusted lieutenant Mohammad Rizwan shared a stand of 84 runs for the third wicket.

Who is Hareem Shah?

Hareem Shah is a Pakistani TikToker and journalist based out of London. Her profile on X, formerly known as Twitter, has the bio 'I'm a free human being with an independent will'. She joined the micro-blogging website in September 2014 and commands a follower base of 364.6K. She is followed by 32.9K people on X.

India vs Pakistan CWC 2023 Result

Pakistan lost their third wicket in Babar at 155 and soon after the entire team's batting collapsed on its head. The team could only muster another 36 runs and lost eight wickets to get bundled out for 191 inside 42 overs.

India chased down the total quite convincingly and won the game inside 31 overs to script yet another famous win over arch-rivals in the global showpiece. It was India's eighth straight win over Pakistan in the ODI World Cup.

Captain Rohit Sharma scored 86, Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 53 while Jasprit Bumrah starred with the ball and won the player of the match award for his impressive figures of 2/19 from 7 overs, including a maiden over.

Superstition in cricket is not new as players follow their own set of practices on and off the pitch to ensure the lady luck is in their favour. Some players keep specially coloured clothes in their kits or pockets, while others use a specific gear, which they believe brings them good luck, etc. But the allegation of the use of tantrik for black magic is something new, and bizarre.
