IND vs SA 3rd T20I Awards: India took a 2-1 lead in the T20I series with a thrilling victory over South Africa on Wednesday (November 13).
After a defeat in the last match in Gqeberha, Centurion brought India's luck back as Suryakumar Yadav and his men registered a victory by 11 runs.

Tilak Varma starred for India with a fantastic century, while Abhishek Sharma also scored a fifty. Varma remained unbeaten on 107 runs as India finished at 219 runs, their highest T20I total on South African soil. Sanju Samson continued his lean patch as the India batter got dismissed for a duck again.
At the start of the South African run chase, the match was briefly halted as insects stopped play for about 20 minutes. Ryan Rickelton and Reeza Hendricks got starts but neither could convert into a big score. Proteas captain Aiden Markram batted brilliantly for his 29 but Varun Chakravarthy got his wicket. Heinrich Klaasen started his onslaught along with David Miller but the latter departed in the bowling of Hardik Pandya as Axar Patel took a tremendous catch. Klaasen's dismissal (41 off 22 balls) broke the South African back but Marco Jansen continued his six-hitting spree to scare the Indians.
Jansen went berserk in the final overs, hitting the pacers out of the ground for fun. The Proteas required 25 runs to win in the final over and Jansen got his maiden T20I half-century in 16 deliveries. But Arshdeep struck crucially to send Jansen back to the pavilion, thus ending South Africa's dream.
With the victory, India have now taken a 2-1 lead in the series. The final match of the series will be played on Friday (November 15).

"(on the performance) I am happy that we are in the winning side. I couldn't imagine, it was my dream and it came at the right time for my country. Under the pressure, it was a good knock. (Why at No. 3) Credit goes to the captain as he gave me the opportunity. I am really happy and always thankful, it was all for Surya. I just wanted to express myself and back my basics. The wicket was slightly two-paced. I wanted to take a bit of time and Abhishek batted superbly. It went well for the team and me. (the Mentality) I always belief in the basics. The team management backs all the players. The positive approach come from the team and the captain."
