India registered multiple records with their excellent batting display in the 3rd T20I against South Africa on Wednesday (November 13). But talk about the records, the match has taken a halt due to insects at the Centurion stadium.
Tilak Varma scored his maiden T20I century and became the 12th Indian to score a T20I Century in Centurion. The southpaw scored a sublime 107 off just 50 deliveries as India posted a mammoth 219 runs in Centurion. Abhishek Sharma also silenced his critics with 50 off just 25 deliveries. Hardik Pandya scored 18 while debutant Ramandeep Singh batted with a flurry at the end, scoring 15 runs off six deliveries.

South Africa were ready for a big run chase and scored 7 runs after the first over. But just as Hardik Pandya was about to bowl his first over, insect attack struck in Centurion.
Just after the first over of the South African run chase, the match was halted due to insect infestation at the stadium.
An army of swarming Flying Ants stormed into the field and hampered the players. There were too many of the insects who were causing all sorts of troubles for the players and the umpires decided to suspend play. The insects were lying on the pitch and the match was in jeopard, as super-sopper was introduced in the field to sweep out the nuisance-makers.
The unforeseen incident is the newest addition of reasons which has stopped an international match. The match was stopped for around 25 minutes and finally resumed after the clearance from the ground staff. There are still a few of the arthropods lying and flying on the ground, but the play continues.
