IND vs WI: Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, Kul-Cha, SKY flaunt new Team India ODI jersey - Watch

Team India's ODI jersey has been unveiled on their Twitter handle ahead of the one-day international series against West Indies, starting Wednesday (July 27).

Indian cricketers, including ODI vice-captain Hardik Pandya, who are part of the limited-overs squad for the series against West Indies have arrived on the Caribbean shores.

Hardik - who will be leading the Men in Blue in the subsequent five T20Is against the West Indies - was amongst those who posed for the headshots in the new India blue jersey with official sponsor Dream11's logo.

Dream11, the Indian fantasy sports platform - signed a three-year deal with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to be the new title sponsor. Team India had Killer as the title sponsor for a short span of time after the deal with ed-tech company Byjus was terminated.

In the 78-second-long video shared by the BCCI on social media, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Mukesh Yadav, Shardul Thakur and Jaydev Unadkat are the players from India's Test side that played the two red-ball matches against the Windies. India won the 2-match series, 1-0 after the second match ended in a draw due to rain on day five.

Hardik Pandya, T20I vice-captain Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, Umran Malik, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav - the white-ball India specialists - posed for the cameras. Chahal and Unadkat also gave their reactions to the new jersey.

Team India Test Jersey Criticised

Ahead of the Test series against the West Indies, the BCCI shared images of the Indian cricketers posing in new white fatigues. The Test jersey carrying the logo of official sponsors Dream11, instead of 'India' - which was the case with previous designs - irked the fans. The BCCI was widely criticised on social media for the Test jersey's design.

Who Designed Team India New Jersey?

Earlier in June, Team India's jersey for the highly-anticipated World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2023 against Australia was unveiled by the BCCI in a unique video. The new jersey of the Indian cricket team has been designed by Delhi-based designer Aaquib Wani.

Wani - who hails from Jammu & Kashmir - is the Founder & Creative Director at Aaquib Wani Design. His studio is based in South Delhi. He designed the Indian cricket team jersey which carries the three stripes of Adidas, the global apparel brand.

IND vs WI ODIs & T20Is Where To Watch?

Indian cricket team will play three ODIs and five T20Is in the Caribbean, in what could be seen as a way to prepare for the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in October-November this year.

Doordarshan (DD) Network, India's public broadcaster, will be telecasting all the limited-overs matches between India and West Indies on multiple languages and seven different channels.
