  • 2009: India lost to hosts England by 10 wickets [India 112/8, England 113/0]
  • 2010: India lost to New Zealand by 10 runs at St Kitts & Nevis, the West Indies [NZ 139/8, India 129/8]
  • 2012: India lost to Australia by 8 wickets at Galle, Sri Lanka [India 104/8, Aus 105/2]
  • 2014: India lost to Sri Lanka by 22 runs at Sylhet, Bangladesh [SL 128/8, 106/9]

Against Bangladesh, however, it was the second win by the Indian women in as many games in the T20 World Cup. They had beaten the same opponent at Sylhet in the 2014 edition by 79 runs.

The Indian women will take on their Pakistani counterparts at New Delhi on March 19, the same day when the male cricketers from both countries will clash at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
