IPL 2017: Adam Zampa desperate to meet MS Dhoni, see his 'beautifully sculpted facial hair'

Australia spinner Adam Zampa's tweet shows the former India captain MS Dhoni's appeal hasn't affected one bit amongst fellow cricketers.

Pune, April 3: He may no longer be the captain of the IPL franchise Rising Pune Supergiant, but Mahendra Singh Dhoni is still the biggest star in the side and the one who commands respect from every single player.

IPL 2017: Adam Zampa says desperate to meet MS Dhoni, see his 'beautifully sculpted facial hair'

The Australia tweaker took to Twitter to reveal he's desperate to meet his former captain under whom he began his IPL journey.

"en route to Pune can't wait to see this mans beautifully sculpted facial hair," tweeted Zampa before leaving for India.

Zampa will be joining the RPS franchise ahead of the upcoming tenth season of the cash-rich league.

At a time when media is discussing about the relationship between Indian and Australian cricketers following fiery Test series, Zampa's gesture shows there is still a lot of harmony amongst cricketers.

Zampa's tweet won over the hearts of several Dhoni fans who thanked and lauded the Aussie to his sweet gesture. The Australia tweaker took 12 wickets in his debut IPL season last year and impressed skipper Dhoni with his performances.

Zampa was perhaps talking about the white beard that Dhoni was seen sporting while he was leading his state team Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Dhoni's men performed very well under his leadership in the premier domestic one-day tournament. Dhoni's half-century effort went in vain as Jharkhand lost to Bengal in the semi-finals of the tournament.

Australia skipper Steve Smith will now lead the RPS in IPL 10 after owners decided to remove Dhoni as it's captain.
