Gautam Gambhir
The skipper led the KKR team from the front in the previous season, the opening batsman smashed five half-centuries in IPL 2016.
The southpaw scored 501 runs from 15 games played, last year and hence team would once again rely heavily over him.
Gambhir has been the backbone of KKR's batting and inspired his fellow teammates with his aggressive display of cricket.
Gambhir would be desperate to make a positive start in this season as he begins IPL 10 campaign against Gujarat.

Yusuf Pathan
The explosive Baroda all-rounder has truly been a match-winner for Kolkata Knight Riders and the team would be depending on Pathan for his aggressive brand of cricket in IPL 10.
He has single-handedly led the team to some memorable wins in the tournament and skipper Gambhir would be hoping similar performances from him again. He didn't have great outing the previous season for he scored just 361 runs from 15 matches but everyone knows how dangerous he can be on his day.
Pathan is a genuine T20 specialist who helps the team with his batting and capable of providing breakthroughs at crucial times.

Trent Boult
The left-handed New Zealand speedster was another big buy from the KKR.
He was purchased for Rs 5 crore in the IPL auction and will certainly be opening KKR's bowling.
Boult has consistently picked up wickets early on and skipper would want him to do exactly the same against Gujarat.

Brendon McCullum
He may have retired from international cricket but his exploits in the T20 format hasn't waned.
The vitriolic New Zealand cricketer will be one of the most feared batsmen in the tournament for he is capable of demolishing any kind of attack.
McCullum would open the innings for the Lions and his quality to explode from the very first ball of his innings makes him the most dangerous batsman in the business.
'Baz', that he's fondly called, has aggregated 2434 runs from 92 games he has played in the cash-rich league. He has slammed two tons in the IPL so far.

Aaron Finch
The Australian batsman needs no introduction when it comes to T20 exploits. Finch's presence at No. 3 means the team wouldn't be bothered much if any opener departs cheaply for he's an explosive batsman.
He was in great form in the previous season and team management would be expecting similar performance this year too.
Finch scored 393 runs from 13 games he played in IPL 9. Hence, hope for another cracker of a performance from the right-handed batsman.

Suresh Raina
One of the most consistent performers of Indian Premier League led the side from the front last year.
Team would be hoping for some more inspiring knocks in the middle order by this southpaw. He scored 399 runs in the 15 games he played last year.
Raina can be very dangerous if he gets going and Lions' would be hoping their skipper explodes.
