1. Gautam Gambhir
The skipper led the KKR team from the front in the previous season, the opening batsman smashed five half-centuries in IPL 2016. Team would once again rely heavily over him.
Gambhir has been the backbone of KKR's batting and inspired his fellow teammates with his aggressive display of cricket.
The veteran India discard hasn't been in the best of his form in the domestic circuit during 2016-17 season.
Hence, he would be hoping to regain his form and create history by winning the third IPL trophy this year.

2. Robin Uthappa
The Karnataka batsman has also been a vital cog for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL. Uthappa has been an aggressive opener gave impressive starts to the franchise.
Uthappa will also be donning the role of KKR's wicketkeeper in the tournament.
Just like Gambhir, his domestic performance wasn't impressive in this season but the right-handed batsman would be hoping to get into IPL mode.

3. Manish Pandey
The young Karnataka batsman will be coming in at No.3 to bat. Pandey is an impact player in the IPL and he's capable of hitting big knocks.
The right-handed middle order batsman will be hoping to do well in this IPL to book a spot in India's ODI squad for Champions Trophy 2017.
Pandey was the first Indian to slam a ton in the IPL, but that's a thing of the past. However, team would want him to play his natural aggressive game.

4. Yusuf Pathan
The explosive Baroda all-rounder has truly been a match-winner for Kolkata Knight Riders and the team would be depending on Pathan for his aggressive brand of cricket in IPL 10.
He has single-handedly led the team to some memorable wins in the tournament and skipper Gambhir would be hoping similar performances from him again.
Pathan is a genuine T20 specialist who helps the team with his batting and capable of providing breakthroughs in critical conditions.

5. Suryakumar Yadav
The young Mumbai batsman emerged as one of finds for the KKR in the previous season. The 26-year-old helped KKR with his cameos in slog overs and helped the side win the games in tight situations. He showed a lot of maturity by keeping his nerves calm.
Team would be expecting more of such performances from the young batsman in the middle order.

6. Rovman Powell
Although new recruit Rovman Powell, a vital cog in Jamaica Tallawah's title-win in the Caribbean Premier League, is portrayed as Russell's replacement, the big-hitting rookie will know he has big shoes to fill.
Skipper Gambhir has already said Powell has all the qualities to fill the void created by Russell's exit. Hence, he might make his IPL debut in KKR's opening game.

8. Chris Woakes
The England speedster was purchased at a whopping sum of Rs 4.2 crore by the Kolkata Knight Riders as the team wanted to make it's pace battery more lethal.
The Warwickshire bowler has been in good form in 2016-17 season and team management would be hoping for some stellar performances from him.
Woakes can also play big shots in the lower order which gives him an added advantage to get picked up for opening game against Gujarat.

9. Kuldeep Yadav
The young chinaman bowler has been in focus since his game changing four-wicket haul ion debut against Australia in Dharamsala, last month.
He has been a part of the KKR side and will surely play in the first match against Gujarat as the Rajkot pitch is likely to favour the left-arm spinner.

10. Piyush Chawla
The 28-year-old leg spinner has been the key player for the side ever since he was picked up. The UP-lad is a shrewd bowler and decent batsman.
Chawla is also a good fielder and can be placed at any position. He will surely fit into skipper Gambhir's scheme of things in this season for he has been the leading wicket-taker for the side.

11. Trent Boult
The left-handed New Zealand speedster was another big buy from the KKR. He was purchased for Rs 5 crore in the IPL auction and will certainly be opening KKR's bowling.
Boult is known for taking wickets early on and skipper would want him to do exactly the same. He played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the previous season.
